Bush v Clinton
|
Jeb Bush (brother of George W, son of George) announces he will 'actively explore' running for President in 2016. Probably against Hilary Clinton (wife of Bill).
Pretty shallow talent pool in the U S of A , innit? Or are they trying to APE the Royal Family and pass power through the generations.

Who's taking care of the vote counting in Florida, if Jeb is running for office?
That usually has something to say about who's going to "win."
Gore blimey!

I don't think Bush will make it through the Republican primaries. The last Bush Presidency was too much of a disaster. Even Mitt Romney, the guy who lost the last election for the Republicans, is polling higher.

If it's Clinton the U.S. will have had 12 years of black & women presidents. WHEN OH WHEN are the overlooked minority of old white men ever going to be given a fair go?
Clinton seems to have been running from about 10 years out. Agree that voter fatigue may set in and someone come and swamp her on the Democrat line.

Hey, at least we don't have a king (or queen as the case may be)!
Actually, plenty of people here will find it peculiar. I think Jeb's biggest hurdle will be overcoming a natural inclination not to elect another legacy candidate. Plenty of precedent for two Presidents from the same family (Adams, Roosevelt), but three? That will test the American anti-monarchical instinct.
I'll go out on a limb, however, and suggest Jeb's election is more likely that Hillary's. Very uncommon for someone who has been the perceived front runner as long as Hillary has to actually follow through. Plus she's about as old as dirt now. Someone else will emerge as the D candidate.

I would be amazed if Hilary fails to win in 2016. Bill will then become the 'first laddie' in the White House.

Many Americans won't think this keep it in the family policy even remotely peculiar.
